Dealing with Stress

Dealing with Stress

Stress is good. When we are faced with tremendous danger or hectic tasks, our body pumps up this extraordinary energy that we need to overcome hurdles, defeat the enemy and get that job done.

There is a limit to stress that the body can handle. Beyond this limit, the human body suffers and ‘’breaksaway’’ like a machine under excessive mechanical vibration.

As you know, there must be question before an answer. To answer a question, or to simply put it, to deal with a task is like studying for examinations, the body needs the stress and responds to jive us into studying while in fact we would rather play games, watch a movie, go clubbing or while away our precious time doing less important things.

stressWhether you are involved in a bitter exchange of words with a friend, worried about that stack of work on your office desk or you just had bad news of whatever sort, the body needs this amazing strength that comes in the disguise of stress to make you a victor. Stress simply turbo-jets you into a realm of possibilities, where you can think faster, concentrate better and overcome tasks. However, not everybody can handle stress the same way. Some people do better under tension while others fumble.

Just as a mechanical machine cannot withstand certain intensity of vibration for a very long time, the human body is not programmed to handle stress for a long time. Stress disrupts the body’s systems, suppresses the immune system, and makes us susceptible to heart attacks and strokes. Stress also speeds up the aging process and it is a major cause of infertility in our today. Attitudinally, it induces depression and anxiety.

The best way of dealing with stress is to consult your doctor. Your doctor can help you determine if you have gone beyond what is the acceptable threshold of stress or not. For the starters, symptoms like obesity, sleep problems, depression, skin conditions, digestive problems, heart disease and autoimmune disease are danger signs that your body is close to the elastic limit.

To deal with stress, first you have to start planning early. Anticipate situations in advance and do not allow anything to derail your health by being positive in every situation you may find yourself. Secondly, having a quality relationship would really help relieve stress: Friends and people to talk to in times of great need. Even if you were the reclusive type, little things like volunteering to help someone out on something would do. Thirdly and most importantly, find time to relax and play.

In conclusion, Stress helps us achieve tasks, but it also poses a great danger to our health, mood, and productivity; including the quality of our lives and relationships if not properly managed. To be at your best performance at all times, you need to manage stress. The most important way to do that is to relax, make time for everything and at your leisure periods, get your mind off that work or task.
