Foot Right Podiatry, Macquarie Park – dealing with

On Tue. 18 Jun. 2019, an attempt was made to send the following letter in an email to the people in this practice  using the email form on their website, (we couldn’t find an ordinary email address,) but all that happened was we got the runaround in a way in which we may write up as time allows. But already the indications would appear to be that the people in this practice may not be the best people to deal with if one has badly diseased big toe nails.

Westmead Government hospital – dealing with 3

A contribution put together with one of our readers.

We’ve just sent a copy of the above to Mr Graeme Loy, Westmead Government Hospital’s CEO, for his information and comment.

We’ll let you know if we get a response. To be honest, we’ll be astonished if there’s any indication that Mr Loy cares either.

The NSW Health Care Complaints Commission – dealing with 4

We still can’t hardly believe this!!!

According to one of our readers, he was referred to Dr Kerrie Meades, Ophthalmologist, for help with his double vision, which was continuing to get worse to the point where it was getting dangerous for him to drive a car, increasingly it appeared that he might have to give up using his car, which, for him, would have been a disaster.

So he spent 3 or 4 hours in Dr Meades’ rooms, at considerable expense, seeing Dr Meades herself, her colleague Dr Jennifer Sandbach, and her orthoptists, from which he learnt nothing.

Dr Meades’ responses to his complaints about this continued to be like.

Eventually he saw Dr Ross Fitzsimmons, Ophthalmologist, instead.

Dr Fitsimmons virtually solved all his problems in 2 minutes! (1) After briefly reviewing the reader’s history of double vision, Dr Fitzsimmons said that it was extremely unlikely that it could be due to anything serious, but, if he wanted to remove any doubt, he could have an MRI of his brain, which he did, and it was clear. (2) Dr Fitzsimmons said that prisms in his glasses would solve the practical problems of his double vision, and when he got them, it was as though he was 20 or 30 again – nothing short of a miracle!

(Dr Meades subsequently claimed that one of her colleagues had sent him for an MRI, but this was a lie – no evidence of this was ever able to be produced. And in 3 or 4 hours in Dr Meades’  rooms glasses with prisms were not mentioned once by anyone.)

And when a complaint was made to the Health Care Complaints Commission about Dr Meades, readers will probably guess how that turned out?

Their response was along these lines – “All practitioners are entitled to their opinions and we can’t see how anyone could complain about Dr Meades’s opinions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

More HCCC rubbish!

Sydney North Neurology & Neurophysiology, Neurologists – dealing with

An email sent to A/Prof. Karl Ng at this 4 doctor practice on 8 Apr. 2019 using the ordinary email address, info@snnn.com.au.

A reply received the next day.

At least they sent us a reply. We would certainly have them on our list to email if we needed help with other neurology matters.

Health Care Professionals generally – dealing with

To us, even if, say, a doctor, works in a practice in which there are lots of other doctors, they should still have their own website, it can be quite basic, and their own ordinary email address.

Basic websites can be created by school children these days, and can be hosted for 2 or 3 dollars a week.

It’s most annoying when, with bigger practices at least, you send an email to a specific doctor and it shows up as having gone to a completely different doctor. You never know if it ever gets to the doctor it was intended for.

Dr Dung Lam, GP – dealing with

An email that could have been sent to Dr Lam of the parramedicalcentre.com.au on 8 Apr. 2019.

Except that we don’t bother with doctors who don’t at least have an email form to use to send them anything, as is the case with Dr Lam. (And we advise our readers to do the same.) The best means we can find for sending anything to Dr Lam is a fax number – SO last century!!!

The NSW Health Care Complaints Commission – dealing with 3

As advised in this previous post, a letter of complaint was sent to this Commission about Dr Timothy Tan, Cardiologist – to view this letter in full use this link.

Nearly 3 months later a response was received, authored by a Ms Nada Fraser, describing herself as a “Senior Assessment Officer,” which can be viewed in full by using this link. To us  this response is a disgrace – school children could do better.

Our initial response to it was this, sent on 4 Apr 2019.

Would the senior management people in the HCCC be concerned with the quality of this response? We’ve never got the slightest indication that they might be.

Would the Health Care Services Commissioner, Sue Dawson, in particular, be concerned with the quality of this response? We’ve never got the slightest indication that she might be.

Would the HCCC’s political masters, be concerned with the quality of this response? We’ve never got the slightest indication that they might be.

We’ll keep you advised as to what happens from here on. Perhaps, this time, things might be different.

Doctors who perhaps advise on and prescribe Low Dose Naltrexone – dealing with

We’ve mentioned before how one of our readers claims to have read once that, on an average, it takes 17 years for medical breakthroughs to become common practice!!!!!!!!

i.e. for up to 17 years the people, you and I, are unable to find anyone who will help us to get the benefits of a medical breakthrough.

Low Dose Naltrexone is said to be a medical breakthrough. In fact, on the internet it’s being claimed by some to be the greatest medical breakthrough in 50 years. But with LDN, there are factors which may make it longer than 17 years for people to get it’s benefits, perhaps much longer.

Over the years, we’ve sent emails to 30 or 40 Neurologists, mainly in Sydney, asking them if advising on LDN and perhaps prescribing it is something that they do, and if not, whether they can recommend anyone who does – and we’ve only ever got 3 replies, each telling us that it’s not something that they do, and that they can’t recommend anyone who does.

So, today, (on 5 Apr. 2019,) we’ve started sending out emails like this to Neurologists – some to ones we’ve emailed before and some to new ones.

We’ll let you know if we get any good replies, even one. And if any readers know of anyone who does this, please, please, please, let us know.

Email us on info@questionsmisc.info.
